Scientific American Re-design

The Scientific American re-design stems from my nerdy love of science. Scientific American is a pretty typical-looking doctor's office type science journal that's actually very relavent and established. My goal was to make that content shine because it has the potential to really engage on newsstands.

Specifically, my obsession is with 70's science fiction covers for Bradbury, Dick, and Clarke as well as folks like Carl Sagan and his Cosmos TV series. I wanted to move the aesthetic back to that period because there was so much wonderment and inspiration that generation had for scientific breakthroughs.

Our generation is much more skeptical about science and technology.
